nice to meet you, I’m maria (Copy)

My aim is to support and help you make any changes you would like to make in your life, whether this be through cognitive therapy (CBT), supportive counselling or coaching.

My Background

Freedom. Respect. Trust. Honesty. Connection. Well-Being. These are my core values and most important pillars in my private and professional life.

For over twelve years, I worked in the British National Health Services' major teaching hospitals and clinics across central London. There I supported people from all walks of live with depression, anxiety, phobias, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and pain management, using a cognitive behavioural approach.

In 2016, I moved back to Geneva, where I spent my formative years to start my English speaking therapy practice to primarily support members of the expat community. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure to work with children on an individual basis, as well as in groups, conducting various workshops on anti-bullying and empathy for middle school settings. In addition, I co-led workshops on wellbeing in organisations.

Upon completion of the Co-Active coaching course, I worked as a coach to help people navigate stress and find fulfilment and balance in their lives.

Having lived in several different countries including Germany, Sweden, USA, Switzerland, and UK, I am very familiar with the expat life, as well the concept of being a third culture kid.

My professional language is English, although I am fluent in Swedish and have a working knowledge of German and French.
